EurO3zon submitted answers to the General Survey for the additional sectors ‘Sealing applications’, ‘Machinery applications’ and ‘Technical textiles’, and to the Sector-specific survey on the sub-use ‘PEM electrolysis (ozone production)’ under the sector ‘Energy’. The consultation was closed on May 25, 2026.
EurO3zon is preparing to submit answers to the consultation on SEAC draft opinion. The main focus are the sub-use ‘PEM electrolysis (ozone production)’ under the sector ‘Energy’, and the additional sectors ‘Sealing applications’, ‘Machinery applications’ and ‘Technical textiles’.
During the assessment of the restriction proposal by the RAC and SEAC, EurO3zon participated in the relevant meetings, namely RAC-74 and SEAC-68 in September 2025, RAC-75 and SEAC-69 in December 2025, RAC-76 and SEAC-70 in March 2026.
The 5 authorities that submitted the restriction proposal have identified 8 new sectors, following the assessment of the comments that were submitted to the public consultation.
The comment submitted by EurO3zon is referred to in sections concerning ‘Spare parts’.
The use of PEM electrolysis for ozone production is identified and included in the sector ‘Energy’, which was evaluated by RAC and SEAC.

EurO3zon engaged an external consultant to prepare a data collection for the purpose of creating a relevant report on the assessment of the impacts of the PFAS restriction on the use of oxidation and disinfection technologies for providing EEA with essential water treatment processes.
